The series of the Bolyai-Gauss-Lobachevsky conferences has been initiated by the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kiev.

The first Conference was held in 1997 in Uzhgorod (Ungvár), Ukraine
The second Conference was held in 1999 in Nyíregyháza, Hungary
The third Conference was held in 2002 in Targu Mures (Marosvásárhely), Romania
The fourth Conference was held in 2004 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia
The fifth Conference was held in 2006 in Minsk, Belarus
The sixth Conference was held in 2008 in Debrecen, Hungary
The seventh Conference was held in 2010 in Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár), Romania
